Removing Upgrades?

Just wondering how to remove upgrades. Can't find anything online about it. Am I missing something obvious, or...

For now upgrades aren't removable, but there are big updates for yabba upcoming soon™

On this subject, is there any way to see what upgrades a barrel has without picking it up first?

Also not currently. I planned to rewrite the mod quite some time ago, but FTB Quests happened
