ah, yeah, should be straight forward I guess? not sure when I have time to do it though :D

sounds like a good idea. Although I'm (very) slowly trying to move most of the code here to nixpkgs itself. But until that is finished we can add those overrides...

when does this step run? is it when you start the image inside a vm?
