how to make the macro shortcut keys work? I tried to assign all possible combinations of keystrokes, but none of the options gives a macro call when pressing the specified keys.

Seems that this feature was broken at some point and nobody realized it, which probably means that nobody is using it anyways ;)

I'll put it on the "todo list".
