Possibly moving the repo to forgejo/gitea in the future?

Definitely not a high priority, but I think it makes sense. Since Gitea is planning on adding federation with ActivityPub also. (Forgejo is a soft-fork of Gitea, since Gitea went for-profit and sadly didn't give any warning about it)

If you can't host it yourself, Codeberg is a popular instance that uses the Forgejo fork.

There's also a way of importing the repo and its issues into it I'm pretty sure

(and also, some don't really like Github because of stuff they've done)

Hmm, we use Gitea at university but for some reason I didn't think about setting it up there. At this point I prefer not to move the repo, but I could set up a clone on Gitea so users can decide what to use for themselves.
