Don't erase text entered in correction field

Scenario:

I see that a sentence needs correction. I click the correction icon next to the sentence and write my correction.

If later, by mistake, I click the correction icon again, the correction is deleted. This happened to me already several times, in particular when there are many short sentence to correct (I want to correct the next sentence and by chance click on the correction icon of the previous sentence).

I propose as a change in the user interface to

• either pop up a confirmation dialogue, whether it is OK to delete the already entered correction, or
• Set the correction to some kind of "hidden" state, i.e. it won't be shown to the poster, but if I decide to later click the correction icon again, I can continue with my edits

The last version, although perhaps more complex to implement, could also have the benefit, that my corrections are not lost, if my browser crashes before I have a chance to save them.
