Error when applying UI patches on LineageOS 14.1

When I apply the UI patches on LineageOS 14.1 for the Amazon Fire 7 tablet (https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-unlocked-ford-austin-lineage-14-1-21-jun-2023.3962457/) this error appears:

fatal: exception: org.jf.dexlib2.dexbacked.DexBackedDexFile$NotADexFile: Not a valid dex magic value: 50 4b 03 04 0a 00 00 08
