Error loading novel

So yesterday i uninstalled quicknovel, and installed it back today. I have used any backups. So i downloaded a webnovel and tried to open it , but a pop up came notifying "error loading novel" i tried some other sites but it's not working. Can you please help? ;(

In Android 11 and above, the app will not be able to recognize epub files after reinstalling the app So you have to delete the epub folder in your downloads folder

This issue just popped up for me out of nowhere. Didn't update the app or change anything with my phone, it just stopped being able to open the epubs between closing one book and trying to open another.

It is completely unable to read any of my downloads, and I have tried every option going as far as deleting all of my epub files, the epub folder, and uninstalling and reinstalling the APK completely. Even with a fresh install, it is unable to read any of the files.

Edit: fixed this by going into the Download Path setting, choosing to set a custom download path, and then choosing the same folder as it was already using. It prompted me to allow the app to edit this folder, which it had not asked me to do even when redownloading the app. Now it works as intended.
