Option to add the Tingle Tuner to logic

Hey so I remember back in the earlier versions of the randomiser there was an option to make the Tingle chests openable by bombs. However it seems at some point this just got made an always on feature of the randomiser and the toggle was removed. Most people dont or can't play with the tingle tuner anyway and Tingle bombs still work to open the chests (I think).

I'm wondering if it would be possible to add an option to use the tingle tuner in the logic. Just for those of us that can use it. This setting could not only set the Tingle chests to open from the Tingle bombs only but it could also allow progression logic for Tingle bombs. As an example they can be used for destroying things like Outpost cannons, rocks, wooden barriers, and any number of other things you can do by placing bombs.

I know it is already currently possible to use them for these things. However I feel like if I do i'm skipping over steps in the intended progression logic.

I think this would be really neat as it would add an additional item that may be needed to get other required items. It would also finally give the tingle tuner a chance to shine.

There was never an option to disable the feature of normal bombs opening Tingle chests, the option was to disable Tingle bombs opening Tingle chests. It was removed because nobody used it and it kept causing people to have the misunderstanding that you just had.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to add an option to use the tingle tuner in the logic.

I never wanted to add that before since the GBA link is ridiculously annoying to test on emulator but supposedly Dolphin added a new feature to make it easier now, so maybe I'll look into it if that works well for Wind Waker.

Ah sweet. If you need I have ways to test it with both official and unofficial cables on both wii and GameCube.

Can confirm that It Just Works ™ It comes with an integrated GBA (or a separate emulator (mGBA, not vba) if that's what you'd prefer) which works perfectly with speedups and savestates.

Tingle Balloons are pretty powerful as well, and they could likely be used instead of the Deku Leaf in a lot of places.

I would love to see this as an option because Tingle Tuner is extremely fun to use (especially if you're doing it with a friend or partner, like I am), although I don't know how much testing it would take for edge cases. Bombs and hover are the obvious big ones as mentioned already, since you can most likely use hover to reach the Big Key chest in DRC early for instance (this might not be possible because you have to lose height actually, but it's a theoretical example).

But even after a short time using the TT in Archipelago, one thing I also found was that you can do things like use magic refills in midair with the Deku Leaf. This means you don't need the magic upgrade normal logic requires, for instance to get the Flight Control Platform heart piece check. There's probably other exploits or minor sequence breaks that the TT allows that I haven't even considered yet.

Either way, having Tingle Tuner support would be an amazing feature. I'd love to see this added when possible.
