I also have this need EDIT: somewhat related https://github.com/jeanregisser/react-native-slider/pull/134

Having the same issue with Ionicons. I've resolved for now by patching a line inside `android/src/main/java/com/oblador/vectoricons/VectorIconsModule.java`: ```java i̶n̶t̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶s̶e̶t̶X̶ ̶=̶ ̶0̶;̶ int offsetX = (size / 2) - ((int) paint.measureText(glyph)...

I want to do the same, since I'm using a custom font with a fontello config.

On Android icons are resized automatically, on iOS this does not happen and it ends up like this: ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/13508373/51025540-a3d8a600-158c-11e9-8448-bd074b4061c6.png)

@andres-gr I've tried your workaround on latest version (`2.8.0`), but it seems it doesn't work. ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/13508373/51915926-8012be00-23dc-11e9-9c98-def4bdb75f67.png)

@tberman @DylanVann I agree it should have a different entry point for the web

@sreuter I don't agree, you're going to have the benefit of supporting the web platform without extra effort from the developer. Many other libraries have it already, too.
