GIFs uploaded through embedded webserver are changed to PNGs

As the title says, I try to upload a GIF through the webserver and it gives me a static image (first frame of the gif). I checked the uploaded image in the files and it's saved as PNG file.

I downloaded the file to my computer, changed from .png to .gif and the gif was indeed animating, it's just that the webserver changes to the PNG file type.

You might have forgotten to give yourself permission to create animated maps.
