On a related note, you could store the generated rpms as artifacts for people to use, as in CD of CI/CD.

@junghans apologies that this took so long to pick up. I've had to create a new PR (#452) for this so that I would be able to make local edits before pushing. Please look for a request from me to review #452. I will be closing this PR after you've looked at that one.

Getting the rpmbuild logic to work took some doing too including fixing some compilation errors, which existed in the 4.11RC branch I think you started from.
