Option to emulate a remote control pointed at IR

Various games expect a TV remote to be pointed to IR and a button pressed on the remote for various goodies. A notable one is Robopon with the HuC3 mapper's IR, although there are games that do it too with the CGB's IR (e.g. Bomberman Max - Blue Champion). It would be nice to have a builtin option to emulate a TV remote as the other IR source, similar I suppose to the GB Printer connected to serial.
