Jittery eclipses
We've encounter a problem in a couple planet packs (GPP & GEP) in which eclipse shadows move in a herky-jerky motion across the planet. The shadow starts out moving slowly to the right as it should, then it suddenly jumps back to the left, then continues moving right. The shadow eventually works its way across the planet, but it does this jump to the left repeatedly. It does this at both regular speed and time warp, though in time warp the jittery behavior is sped up. If you need any more information, I'm happy to provide it.
Please provide versions for all the mods used (including scatterer), I will reproduce and investigate when I can.
I'm using the following:
- Galileo's Planet Pack 1.6.0.1
- Galileo's Planet Pack Textures 4.0.0
- Grannus Expansion Pack 0.8.0.0
- Scatterer 0.0320b
The problem occurs in several places, but is probably most easily seen in GEP. Around the star Grannus orbits a planet Nodens with a moon Belisama. The problem is very noticeable when Belisama produces a solar eclipse. An eclipse occurs every third new moon, so you may have to time warp ahead a couple orbits to see one.
One more thing, is this problem observed in tracking station? And does it also make no difference whether you're directly orbiting the planet and looking at it or just looking at it in map view while orbiting far away planets?
I had to run some experiments to answer your question. It seems that the problem is visible only in the Tracking Station. I didn't notice it in either flight view or map view.
