Ocean shaders crash the game
KSP: 1.12.2.3167 (WindowsPlayer x64) en-us (Steam) OS: Windows 10 (10.0.0) 64bit Scatterer version: Scatterer 3:v0.0772 Desciption: When ocean shaders are enabled in Scatterer, the game crashes when trying to go to Launchpad, Runway, or Tracking station. When they are disabled, everything works as usual. All addons are installed via CKAN. Updating Nvidia driver, verifying integrity of game files, or adding -force-d3d11 to launch parameters have no influence on the result.
- Did the ocean shader ever work on your machine?
- Can you check your VRAM usage when a crash is about to occur?
- This may be a lot of work, but can you identify the last version of scatterer in which the ocean shader works? looking at the logs I suspect an unsupported hardwre feature or not enough VRAM.
- I haven't played KSP on this machine before.
