wallpaper: change layer to BOTTOM for proper working in KDE6
(sorry, it's first pull request, I don't know what I am doing)
Relative to the Issue #393
I do not think this is the proper fix. The Background layer is so called because it is supposed to be used for backgrounds. Setting it to Bottom could potentially cause issue with things like status bars.
Thanks for reply,
Yeah, I thought so too, but on kde I'm not having any problem, I have no way to try it on other environments at the moment. Tomorrow I'll try to test it on gnome(and if i can with some tiling window manager). Can you give me some examples of status bars to test, which I install and test with the default configs.
I think ideologically this is incorrect. As the author said "the background layer is made for backgrounds".
However you seem to have some bug on your end that would be fixed by this, so I don't think this should be ignored.
What about adding a flag that lets you pick the layer for the wallpaper to be in?
That way, people can fix their de / wm's bug without us all having to switch to a default that makes less sense.
PR #423 now allows you to set the layer you wish to render in to bottom. Just call swww-daemon -l bottom and this should work.
yipeeee thanks
