Transform issue
If I boot hyprland with monitor = ,preferred, auto,1 start swww wallpaper then set monitor = ,preferred, auto,1,transform,3 then everything is fine and wallpaper fits nicely as it should and i can even change it and it will still be fine however I don't want to always change the hyprland config file so booting hyprland with monitor = ,preferred, auto,1,transform,3 then starting swww the wallpaper will ignore the transform and set incorrectly. Is there any fix? Even a hacky solution like being able to pass swww an environment variable saying "monitor = ,preferred, auto,1" even though it isn't would appear to work ig
Can you post a screenshot so I can better understand what's happening? Also, are you on the latest git version?
I can confirm this as well. I am using version 0.9.5 on a two monitor setup. The wallpaper on the main monitor, with no transform, looks fine but the one below it, with "monitor=HDMI-A-1,400x1280@60,2160x1440,1,transform,1", has the wrong aspect ratio:
If I remove the transform the wallpaper will have the correct aspect ratio.
I also encounter this while making rotating monitor. Setting up new wallpaper with vertical orientation doesn't help.
I can confirm. I even tried with --fill-color option (my bg is minimalistic), but the bottom and the top of the background stays default white from my configuration. I even tried with a vertical bg (1080x1920), but the problem persists.
Same issue here, when i started using swww a few weeks ago (maybe even months at this point), setting a background for my rotated screen worked fine, but now, only the middle part of my rotated screen has the background set correctly and the other parts of the screen are the default hyprland background
Just to confirm, are you all on the latest git version? Or are you just using version 0.9.5? Because I am fairly sure this is fixed in the latest git version.
swww-git from AUR does indeed fix the issue (sww 0.9.5-masterV3) . Using version 0.9.5 will have the bug shown above. Hope this helps!
Is there an ETA on when a version with this fix will be released? I'm using nix and having the same issue.
