Prep Course | Retention - Brainstorming

Context: On the prep course meeting of 25/05/2021 the following ideas were given as retention incentives:

1. Have a fee to enrol the course.
   • issue: no certificate.
2. Prep course students didn't do the exam.
   • issue: unfairness.
3. Prep course students would have priority to enrol the starters academy.
   • issue: unfairness.
4. x number of openings just for prep course students (that succeed, example: 10 as we have for scholarships)

The idea that was found, for now, as the most suitable idea was 4, need further discussion.

Goal(s): Increase the retention in the prep course, by implementing an incentive to finish the prep course.

Acceptance criteria: Further discussion is needed (in a next meeting ) and if any solution is doable use it in the next prep course.

@minhhoang1023 regarding point 1, do you think we can issue a certificate for the prep course? The main issue is that we currently don't "control" the prep course in the same way that we do in the academy.

@anaritarc can you remind me what point 2 is about? Didn't do the exam? How so?

Regarding point 3 we ended up accepting every student that passed the exam so maybe we should make that clear? What do you think?

I'm against point 4 because right now the prep course is completely optional. If we reserve spots for the prep course students, we're giving them an advantage and I'm not sure if that's gonna bring a benefit for anyone. What do you think?
