HCal Electronic Cross-talk Simulation
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I'd like to have electronic cross-talk in the HCalDigiProducer. Electronic cross-talk has been seen in the test beam data, and it would be nice to try and reproduce that in MC. This could also easily be studied on the HGCROC test stand.
Describe the solution you'd like As the HCalDigiProducer builds pulses, it should add cross-talk pulses based on simhits in other channels, with amplitudes from either:
- A complete cross-talk matrix
- A simplified model, e.g: where there is a lot of cross-talk on the same chip-half, less so on the other half of the HGCROC, very little cross-talk on the same back-plane, and nothing at all on other back-planes.
The latter requires mapping electronic IDs <--> detector IDs, but HCalDetectorMap already does this (although with some minor fixes needed, see #1507). We don't have such a detector map for the v14 HCal geometry yet, but it would be a worthwhile project on its own to make one based on David's drawings.
