Server character limits not consistent with game
Describe the bug When publishing a level with a lot of emitters or stored assets the game will often say “an error occurred while publishing”. But if you keep spamming publish over and over (one time it took me around 50 tries to publish Dark Force), it will eventually publish. I find it very broken and I would like to see this level publishing issue fixed in the near future as this really affects reupload accounts. Butter and I (penguinskillcaps) have a lot of issues while publishing our levels and often find it annoying.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go on any LBP game (LBP2 Preferred)
- Get a level backup from lbp archive or a level with a bunch of emitter assets.
- Try publishing the level.
- See error
Expected behavior It should access all your levels assets with ease and upload them to the server for you level to function properly.

Additional context Thanks for reading this issue, there’s also another issue with reuploads with the description being to long for the server even though you can store a lot more description characters while on your moon. If you plan on working on this in a future PR please consider fixing the main fault along with the level descriptions not being the exact number they’re supposed to be on the moon, it may also affect level names but I’m not sure yet.
The primary issue here was determined to be the fault of an aggressive rate limit. I'm leaving this open due to the concern about discrepancies between the character limits of the server and the game.
