I sometimes see people's reactions to user's messages even though I didn't react myself
Usually when I thumb up/down a message I see other people's reactions to it. I suppose, it is there to make my own choise as independent as possible. However, I recently started to see, that for user's messages I see reactions even without voting myself:
Is it supposed to be that way or this is a bug?
I kinda found this useful or almost like a mini gamification feature when doing data labeling tasks, enyojed sort of seeing when others agreed or disagreed with me.
Did influence me a little sometimes also though. But in a way that made me think more deeply once or twice so hard to say net impact.
Also not sure if by design or not.

True, but you should only see that after you voted yourself to keep your vote as independent as possible. Otherwise positive/negative feedback loops can occur, which is not great

Well, that might be true for you, but there can be other people who vote just because other people voted this way. For them it is better if they see other feedback after voting

This is how it was working for me in the past. Maybe has changed?

Agree, probably on balance we would not want people seeing it. Although i have a feeling might originally have been this way (you see after you vote) as part of gamification as i recall Yannic sort of mentioned it in one or two videos on YT when doing walkthroughs etc.
Can you post the link of the message here? I tested and I cant see the reaction count. The logic also haven't been touch for weeks.
Lost the original one, but here is one more:
