Misc: Hass Agent interfering with mouse cursor

Open Slurrie opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Hi, I just started having a weird issue the other day where when I am typing in a text box, all of a sudden the cursor will move up 1 line.

At first I thought it was my mouse but it was still happening even with the mouse off and the software uninstalled. I then tried without my keyboard attached and same thing again. After this I just started closing out all running applications to try and find the culprit.

It seems that it's coming from Hass Agent because as soon as I terminate Hass the issue stops, when I start it again the issue returns.

Anyone have any idea how/why this could possibly be happening? Software is on the latest version. I'm only using a few commands and sensors to turn on/off monitor and turn on a plug on mapped key.

I've attached the latest log file in case that helps at all.

Thanks, Matt.

Hello, Do you have any commands configured? Would you please try to test with all commands removed? As far as I know HASS.Agent won't touch anything unless it has been triggered via the configured command.

When testing, please also enable extended logging in the settings if not already enabled.

Hi,

Based on your message I've tracked it down.

It does appear to be something with my commands.

I have 3 commands set up using entity type 'button'.

  • monitor wake
  • monitor sleep
  • media play/pause

I'm using these in an automation with my presence sensor,

  • when no presence - turn off monitor
  • when motion - turn on monitor

what looks to be happening is when my PIR triggers the cursor moves up.

I'm not sure if something with one of the latest HA updates has caused this but it wasn't doing this before.

Apart from adding a condition to the automation to check for monitor status is there anything else I should try? Should I switch from button to switch entity maybe?

Cheers, Matt.

It's been a few days now since I adjusted the automation to run of presence detection instead of PIR, since then I've not noticed the issue again.

Still not sure why it suddenly started happening after working fine for a month.
