Playfair Display "g" slightly different from google font

I've noticed during my development while using the typeface-playfair-display that the "g" character is slightly different than what's displayed when using the google font version. Here are some screenshots to show the slight but noticeable difference.

Any idea what could be causing the difference or if it's something that can be "fixed"?

Late reply: it's likely the font was updated on Google Fonts but the package hasn't been updated/you haven't updated your package locally yet.
