Copy OTP when autofilling a password
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. It is somewhat annoying to have username and password be filled from your keyboard/the popup, but then having to still switch to DX in order to copy the OTP
Describe the solution you'd like Copy the OTP for the selected entry to your clipboard.
Describe alternatives you've considered Try to detect OTP fields (probably not possible)
Additional context It would probably be best to make this behaviour toggleable in case you don't want DX to touch your clipboard automatically.
Been using a different app in iOS that has this feature and its great. Autofill with the fields and auto copy the OTP code Then you just need to click paste and you're good to go
I'm coming from 1password and the app copies the OTP automatically after inserting the password. It gets deleted from the clipboard in x time (x is variable in settings). I thought it is common to have that in a Password Manager app and was a bit disappointed that it's not possible yet. That's the biggest drawback I have currently.
Other than that I love the app. I bought the pro version for supporting and (hopefully soon) FileSync. Thanks for the work!
Same question than here : https://github.com/Kunzisoft/KeePassDX/issues/553#issuecomment-1627624712 Does 1password allow multiple entries to be selected on the same form by Autofill, and is the OTP token copied when the second entry is selected?
It seems to work the same way as with Enpass. You go to the login fields, 1Password shows the suggestions (if multiple entries have the same url you can choose which one you want to use) and it copies it right away after inserting the autofill.
A website with the email field first, like Amazon, it copies the OTP right after inserting only the email. The same for the password only field.
I would like to see this feature. Perhaps KeepassDX could send a notification after Autofilling asking if the user wants to also copy the OTP
