[master][3.0.7]: Breacrumbs links goes to the same page in index

There are couple of users complaining that links in breadcrumbs on the index page goes to the same page, so it's a duplicate.

I'm not sure it's a duplicate. The forum "root" shows the default view which (at K.org) is the index and then the next level down is the "index" (which I agree is the same thing). But what happens if you change the default view to recent topics and _then_ you go to the index?

If you start with forum = index and then go to the recent topics, the breadcrumbs looks like Forum » Recent Topics.

But if you start with forum = recent topics and then go to the index, the breadcrumbs looks like Forum » Index which, I think you will find, is different.

Duplicate it's not the correct word, actually if you try on kunena.org on tab Index. The two links in breadcrumbs goes to the same page. Some users are complaining about that

Yes, that is right if the user has the Index view as the default view. I think you will find that it's different if the Recent Topics view is the default view.

By doing that the issue will be in tab recent disscussions so it not solve the issue

The issue here is that a couple of people are concerned about something very cosmetic.

Let's say you have a site where the Index view is the default. The breadcrumbs will look like Forum » Index when you first go into it. Yes, they are the same thing. Now click the menu item Recent Topics and the breadcrumbs will be Forum » Recent Topics (and they are not the same thing any more).

Let's say you have a site where the Recent Topics view is the default. The breadcrumbs will look like Forum » Recent Topics when you first go your forum. Yes, they are the same thing. Now click the menu item Index and the breadcrumbs will be Forum » Index and you will see that the links are no longer the same.

So, what's really the issue here and what, if anything, is the proposed solution? I would like to know what you are proposing as a solution before attempting to "fix" anything.

We can fix this, but not for Kunena 3.0 and surely not for the old templates.

New templates use very different method on creating breadcrumbs, which is a huge improvement over the old hacked system we had.

Not sure if this is an issue in Crypsis, but lets keep it open until someone tests it.

Is the same with Crypsis. See the difference between Joomla and Kunena breadcrumbs.

The difference is intentional as I only wanted to have forum in the breadcrumbs originally. In a few places it also makes sense to have last link clickable as it might differ from the current page.

I think that the issue in here is that Forum is actually pointing to Index..? Well, it can also point to Recent making that to be duplicate in another forum...

Imho the best way to fix this might be to remove the second item depending the Forum menuitem configuration (pointing to the second one)...
