[BUG] Login / signup not working

Description

The login and signup features of the application are currently non-functional. Users attempting to log in or create a new account receive error messages or are redirected without any successful authentication. This issue prevents users from accessing their accounts and utilizing the application's features.

My plan: Login:

  1. Users should be able to enter their email/username and password.
  2. Upon clicking the "Login" button, the application should authenticate the credentials against the backend and grant access to the user if valid.
  3. If the credentials are incorrect, an appropriate error message should be displayed (e.g., "Invalid email or password").

Signup:

  1. Users should be able to fill in the required fields (e.g., name, email, password) and submit the signup form.
  2. Upon clicking the "Sign Up" button, the application should create a new user account in the backend.
  3. If the signup is successful, the user should be redirected to the login page or logged in automatically.
  4. If there are errors (e.g., email already in use, weak password), the application should display corresponding error messages to the user.
