Setting status bar on seems to have a black status bar on black background

iOS 11 simulator setting status bar on in the configuration GalleryConfigurationItem.statusBarHidden(false) seems to have a black status bar? I think it's actually on, but I can't really see it.

A bug. Setting the statusBarHidden(false) should have a visible status bar, but if it's black, making the status bar visible effectively does nothing.
