Wondering if this is related to issue #1889, as setting white-space: pre; makes the issue go away, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense though, given that the protected white space isn't in the <a> tag, but after it.

I think that this bug is the same as #1889 and #1875. Let’s keep them open until we’re sure that the problem is the same.
