It's been 4 months since the first stable release of AndroidX and Anko is still not compatible with it. Jetifier adds a lot of overhead to the build time so it would be nice if we could get it sometime soon.

Are there any blockers for this? I'm happy to help resolve any issues.

@Nekromancer I didn't find any solutions and I was forced to use androidX in many projects. It's unhappy but It was a kind of solution. I'm not suggesting anything, I'm pointing how I solved my problem.

Now, when google announced JetPack Compose, i think Anko will be officially dumped. I don't think there is more reason to invest in that
