Not counting keystrokes while using keyboard sharing software

Hey, this app is awesome. :-) Thanks for making it. I'm using the latest version (1.7) downloaded from the Release Page. I noticed that when I use the keyboard & mouse sharing software (well, I use Synergy), and when I operate my mouse in the second computer, OctoMouse indeed counts the Mouse Distance. However, when I type in the second computer from my Mac, it does not increase my Keystrokes. Is it possible to fix it?
