Cannot connect RPI 3 B with gorpo wifi

Hi, I am able to turn on the gopro max wifi with the RPI 3 B. I am later able to connect to the Gopro's wifi with windows pc, but not with the raspberry. Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround. When i try to connect, the raspberry's wifi is then completely disabled and i need to restart the raspberry to even connect to the home wifi.

i used the 2.4 GHz on both devices, I can nicely see the gopro wifi network in the wifi list
