WSDL URL import: "Error while scanning for resources to import:No importers found for file"

Open Abdull opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Expected Behavior

Insomnia should successfully import a WSDL specification.

Actual Behavior

Insomnia fails, showing GUI error message "Error while scanning for resources to import:No importers found for file". The stdout log does not show further information (at least on default log level).

Reproduction Steps

  1. Go to "dashboard", e.g. on the local "Scratch Pad".
  2. Click the "Scratch Pad" dropdown, select "Import". A Modal "Import to "Scratch Pad" Workspace" appears.
  3. Select "Url", provide as Url e.g. https://www.onvif.org/ver10/device/wsdl/devicemgmt.wsdl , and click the "Scan" button".
  4. The import fails, showing the mentioned GUI error message.

Is there an existing issue for this?

Additional Information

This error happens in all Insomnia versions I tested:

  • Insomnia 8.6.1 from https://github.com/Kong/insomnia/releases/tag/[email protected] (latest Insomnia version as of this writing)
  • Insomnia 2023.5.8 from https://flathub.org/apps/rest.insomnia.Insomnia (latest Insomnia version published as a Flatpak to flathub.org)

Besides the aforementioned "Url" import method failure, the import also fails (with the same error message) when using the "File" import method.
