Movies and series are always shown as new or not found

Open burnout-syndrome opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Describe the bug

For a few days now, I have repeatedly been shown media as new, not always the same ones. After re-scraping and saving, the titles are again displayed marked with a star. This was not the case until recently, everything had worked as expected. I have not changed anything. Furthermore, not all series are always found or displayed.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Re-read files that have already been scraped. I have reinstalled Mediaelch several times and tested different versions, but the error always occurred.

Expected behavior

Find all files or do not mark them as new again and again.

Screenshots If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

MediaElch Version:

  • [x] 2.10.1-dev (nightly)

It took way too long, but I finally got to try to reproduce this issue. I'm using macOS 13.5 and the latest release MediaElch v.2.10.4.

I was not able to reproduce this issue. Steps I took:

  • create a movie directory for "Argo" with a .mov file (valid video file)
  • add a movie media directory (selecting "Sep. Folders")
  • reload all movies
  • select "Argo" -> marked new, expected
  • scrape "Argo"
  • save "Argo" -> "unsaved" state disappears
  • select other movie, then select "Argo" again -> no "unsaved" state
  • reload movies, select "Argo" -> also no "unsaved" state

Just in case, could you give me the contents of the NFO file of one of the movies that does not stay "saved"? Also, what media file format do you use?

Regards, Andre

Hello Andre,

Thank you very much for your answer.

We recently had a death in the family, so I'm not on the computer much at the moment.

That should change again next week, then I'll be happy to take a look and try to recreate your steps.

Thank you very much for your understanding and greetings,

Frank
