Automatically add label after scraping / label rules

Open Ashutosh-Kukreti opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

Dear MediaElch team,

  1. Whenever I mark any movie or show as watched I've to manually highlight or label it. Please add support for automatic labeling or highlighting of the media.
  2. It'll be very helpful if there's a dark theme available for the interface.
  3. A thumbnail view (like calibre ebook) instead of list view will be helpful in navigating the media.
  4. An option to play movie or show from within the app will be very helpful for users who use MediaElch for managing their movies and shows and do not use kodi.

Hi,

thanks for opening this feature request.

  1. Do you mean color labels or what labels do you refer to? :)
  2. For the dark-theme request, see #761
  3. It's a nice idea but it's out-of-scope for now. :-/
  4. Double-clicking a movie will open the movie in your system's movie player. MediaElch will not include a video player. There are just too many video codecs. I recommend VLC. :-) (see https://www.videolan.org/vlc/)

  1. Right now I just highlight watched movies with yellow colour label and would prefer something just like this.
  2. ok
  3. It's okay please take your time.
  4. Thank you, I didn't know that I think an option of playing in context menu or a play button on the title bar will be very helpful. I was not requesting an inbuilt video player.

You are most welcome :)

  1. Ah, ok. Interesting idea, but I don't think that I'll have time for that in the near future. We would have to think about settings/other options/...
  2. Thanks for your feedback. https://github.com/Komet/MediaElch/pull/1309 adds a context menu entry. :-)
