Download subtitles from www.opensubtitles.org/

It should be possible to download subtitles from https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/subs

These subtitles should be placed next to the movie file.

In the case of current films, released in Bluray, it will probably be easy to find the subtitles.
But for older films, 50's to 80's, DVDRip, it will be more difficult. I assume that this function will allow you to "choose" or confirm the subtitle found. So, at this point, it would be interesting to have a button to go to the movie's page on OpenSUB and be able to make the most accurate choice, which is easier to adapt to your media.

EDIT (2022-01-22) I made a search tool in Mycroft that uses the IMDB ID. https://mycroftproject.com/search-engines.html?author=ticao2
The pb parameter is for my OpenSUB interface language.. http://www.opensubtitles.org/pb/search/sublanguageid-all/imdbid-{searchTerms} http://www.opensubtitles.org/pb/search/sublanguageid-all/imdbid-tt0123456
