BFT function by Faction

Ability to select which factions have BFT functionality in the BFT Module. Good for TvT or COOPs where a low tech military/militia and high tech military may be working together.

Also, ability to remote frag (i.e. destroy) a BFT terminal if it is suspected that the terminal has been comprised (if BFT is tied to an in game item in a future update).

Would it be possible to add an option in the BFT module that only allows players with a BFT terminal (side specific) to make and read map marks? This would greatly increase the importance of team leaders, squad leaders, etc... communicating BFT information to their subordinates and allow a non-leader to pick up a BFT if a leader is killed.

I think the system that "Fattrack" uses is pretty good. there are two devices for each faction. "[Faction] Fattrack Device" and "[Faction] Fattrack Laptop". Everyone who has a Fattrack device in the inventory is able to see all BFT data of the own team on the vanilla map. people who have the Fattrack Laptop (Teamleader/Commander) can edit BFT data. for example, add new squads to the BFT system and edit their info: callsign, radio frequence the squad uses etc. Adding a new squad is done via the Laptop menu, all the other editing can be done right on the map. This might be a viable option.

I haven't played with that system but that sounds like a good idea. The ability to edit information in game is key. I really hope AGM is able to support this feature. The F3 group markers we use are good but a BFT system dependent on an in game item would be awesome. cTab is another one to look at. Its a great looking mod but isn't configurable on the fly (to my knowledge anyway) and uses a separate map/marking system.

that's why i like Fattrack. you can change stuff at any time and most things can be done directly on the standard map, all information in one place.

For sure. Can't wait to see it.
