GitHub Copilot support for the IntelliJ Platform.

Deprecation Notice

GitHub has recently released an official IntelliJ plugin for copilot. Please uninstall JetBrains Copilot and follow the guide here to install the official version of the plugin. Thank you for the support on this small project of mine!

For archival purposes, this repository has been marked as read-only. As noted in the FAQ, this plugin will only be maintained and updated until GitHub releases their own version of the plugin, which is now public.

Installation

Download the latest release. Select the Install Plugin from Disk option in IntelliJ's plugin menu, then select the downloaded ZIP. Then restart IntelliJ.

FAQ

Is this officially supported by GitHub?

No. JetBrains Copilot is a third-party plugin and has no affiliation with GitHub. As such, use it at your own risk, as we use some internal APIs from the Visual Studio Code plugin.

How long will this be maintained?

The plugin will be maintained until GitHub creates their own official plugin.
