Healing and resource use prediction

Is it possible to do? (Resource use= predicts how much mana/energy/rage u will have after your current cast, mostly only concerns mana users)

Would also be nice to have a feature like retail wow for Shields and Healing prediction.

The only limitation I find might be to find the exact amount of shielding, incoming heal etc might need to scan each party/raid member spellcasting...

I haven't looked in details to the API to see if there's something that could help out...
