Option to get less nagging when installing something from AUR
Would be nice
I do like that it warns about the security risks of a PKGBUILD, that is very real. But, it's annoying how it repeatedly asks to edit, even if I already said "Yes" once before. Perhaps only ask once? (Per PKGBUILD, per run)
It is intentional that it asks until you say 'n' and that will not change. It annoys me a lot more to edit a PKGBUILD, close it, and be like "whoops I meant to do something more", which happens a lot for me and others, and then have to go through the whole process again, than to just say "n" after I edit it and know it is right.
I may add a config option to override that, however.
Config option would be nice. I try not to get into that situation, but yeah, I see where you're coming from.
Other than that, does the OP have any other "nagging" related issues? That's the only thing that really annoys me about AUR installs.
Secondary request, a more terse mode? I don't care 'where' a package comes from, so the searching messages I can live w/o. ("Searching repositories...not found; Searching for a group...not found")
Btw there is --noconfirm and that will remove the constant nagging, but also remove the ability to edit them at all and is not generally a wise thing to use, just saying.
Perhaps something like bauerbill where you can auto trust TUs an specific users?
Would be nice if no [enter] pressing would be aquired after typing 'n'.
It would be really nice to have a config option that you are only asked once if you want to edit the PKGBUILD. --noconfirm is no solution as I like to at least read the PKGBUILD and the .install files.
