Moving forward and backward using lever (joystick-teleport) on my controller

Open lucabror opened this issue 6 years ago • 3 comments

I was able to view the Volume Rendering of a CT exam with my Windows Mixed Reality viewers. I would like to know if it is possible to move within the three-dimensional scene using the joystick (teleport) present on the display controllers. Currently to move I have to force my visors to move while I would like to go back and forth (in a fluid and not fragmented way) using the joystick on the controllers. Is this possible? Thank you

Teleport is only possible if you can show the user where to teleport who accepts or adjusts the location. Since we don't hav a floor currently, teleporting would only be possible on the surface of an object, which does not make much sense in a medical application. We plan to add a floor though, after which teleport could be also implemented.

I added a ticket that you can follow here: https://github.com/KitwareMedical/SlicerVirtualReality/issues/72

@lucabror Have you tried to move around by flying and pan/zoom the world by two-handed grabbing?

Closing since the original author has not answered to any of the questions and follow-up in the past four years, and the core team does not plan this feature.
