[FEATURE] Desktop: Ability to import multiple sequences at same time

Open mattdawkins opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

Either a directory of directories of images or a directory of videos or a directory of directories of multi-cam data (typically in you guessed it... another directory with the directory being the camera name, though maybe this could use the same system as the current multi-pipeline import to generate a template)

@BryonLewis how much of the import/export and/or sealion work is related to this?

@mattdawkins can you provide some further detail on how this would work? Is it specifically for multi-cam or are there other scenarios where multiple image sequences would be imported in one shot?

A directory of videos is probably the most common use case, so just single cam, and that's probably a little more important first (and this issue could be broken in 2 if needed) - but multi-camera/stereo bulk import will also come up.

An example for multi-cam is available here:

The current scoping of the sea lion work didn't have a plan for automatically scanning and assigning camera folders. It uses the existing system of adding cameras and manually choosing the folder to represent each camera.

Maybe we should divide this issue into multiple? (import directory of videos #1, multi-cam mass import #2)?
