[Documentation] How to answer your own questions about the mod
Most of the stuff in the mod isn't documented at all anywhere I can find, other than in the source code itself.
My usual method of finding things is the following:
- Download the appropriate version of the source code
- Extract it
- Navigate to that new folder (top level
- grep -iR "some relevant string" *
- Look at the results, and figure out which ones seem most relevant
- Open those files
- Read through to figure out what's going on there
- Determine what I need to find next
- Go to 4 unless I've completely answered my question
The issue is:
- Is there a better way?
- Some way that is considered good should be clearly indicated somewhere.
Oh, I meant the "official" one - does mod-specific stuff not go on there?

I would assume not.
Imagine you were playing CoC official, and were trying to activate the Prison. You're doing exactly what the wiki says, but it just won't fucking trigger. Can you imagine how annoying that would be?
That makes sense; for some reason I was recalling a wiki with subheaders for "Mod Only:" to designate mod-specific features. It must have been a different game; apologies for the confusion.
