Support for Pixel 7
Unlimited photos option is not appearing on Pixel 7. wondering if pixel 7 can be supported?
I enabled it thru config.prop, but phone is restarting after like 20 seconds of opening google photos. I managed to upload one photo this way and it worked. Someone needs to look into those restarts.
Managed to workaround it.
Forced tensor detection in vars.sh and disabled boot loop prevention inside service.sh (it was the reason why my phone was restarting).
@Kingsman44 those 2 things needs to be fixed for Pixel 7 to work. I am happy with my workaround anyway.
@rrevanth I can send you zip file with those 2 modifications if you want.
If @Kingsman44 doesn't find time, I will work on proper fixes this weekend and create PR.
Well, it will be supported on next build. Pixel 7 Pro supports already added in beta-2.2 branch. But my modifications aren't over yet so, build isn't available. But you can build beta-2.2 yourself to get zip
@Kingsman44 do you have a link to the beta branch? I can't see anything other than master
listed on this repo.
Otherwise, @Lesiuk, if you can send over that .zip to me it'd be much appreciated!
Beta is merged to main branch, you can build main branch
@Kingsman44 I downloaded master and it seems that it will enable Unlimited storage with Storage Saver mode. This in conjunction with LSPosed module is giving me OG Pixel unlimited storage.
@Lesiuk can you send your module if that has working unlimited original quality photos enabled. thanks
Unlimited photo backup working fine for me on both Pixel 7 and the Pro. Lost the Pixel 7 and Google One features though (filters + magic erase / unblur).
I can confirm that unlimited photo backup works with pixelify 2.2 beta 1 but call screening does not. When opening phone app I am getting "This device isn't supported and phone calls may not work correctly."
Is it possible to use this for only the unlimited photos on a pixel 7 pro and leave everything else alone? Does that happen if you set everything to "0 - Disable(No)" in the config.prop and use the "no-VK" version?
Can one of you send the built beta branch? having a hard time "accepting the SDK license agreements and... etc etc"

I will delete it in 3 days.
Thank you very much!
@Lesiuk can you upload it again. I missed the notification and didn't download it.

@thesmart1 Thank you very much.
Pixelify v2.2 beta-1 on Pixel 7 Pro, only enabled unlimited backups mod - works fine, however it breaks a lot of things.
- Live Translate no longer works - says Translate to Unknown language, but was previously set as English. cannot add any additional languages
- Gboard's Assistant voice typing broken - no way to enable, grayed out with the message You can't currently use Assistant voice typing
- Live Caption no longer works - keeps giving message Update your software to enable this feature
- disabling this module and even uninstalling this module does NOT revert/fix the issues above!
- deblur no longer available even after uninstalling!
- TBD
Has anybody tried v2.2 beta-2 on a pixel 7 (pro)? Does it still break stuff? I'd like to use it for photos, but obviously nothing else.
this module does not take into account that you're using a Pixel 7 Pro and installs things as if it were a non-Pixel device.
What if you use the config.prop file and disable everything except unlimited photos?
@redondo-se Did you find the answer to this? Looking to do the same on my P7P.
@mihir-io I installed the module and used volume keys to disable everything besides unlimited photos. The photos app said I would get unlimited uploads but uploads were still counting against my storage space. I Uninstalled it since it wasn't working. I'm not interested in using an old version of the photos app to make it work.
@redondo-se Gotcha, thanks for the update.
Is that where we are at still? Mod works, however actual Google Photos has patched it and using an older version is necessary? Looking to buy a 7 Pro, so an update would be nice. My Xiaomi with a custom rom and old version of Google Photos is working great.
Hmm, release v2.2 (March 20) seems to state "Support for Pixel 7 Phones" in the changelog. Does anyone have any experience trying it since then?
I've been running the module since 2.1 beta. 2.2 works just as well on both my 7 and 7 Pro running latest software. Only difference I can see are the messages you get during install.
