about the accuary using triplet loss

1.I learned that triplet loss is often used in Comparative Learning, in order to classify intra-class and inter-class samples. I have a question why can't we use the loss in general classification work, such cifar, imagenet.

2.Maybe there are some researches and paper about this topic. I will appreciate it if you can recommend some to me.
