kilocode Maximum number of redirects exceeded

Description

I just installed kilocode, successfully logged into my kilocode account, selected the grok-code-fast-1 model, sent 'hi', and after a while, it showed an error: Maximum number of redirects exceeded.

Mostly the issue occurs when calling the default model (grok-code-fast-1). When using other models (like GLM-4.5), kilocode acts normally.

PS. Sometimes when I edit the default API config, provider KILO CODE, the model area displays 'anthropic/claude-sonnet-4', while I never use Claude API. That's weird.

Those look like kilocode close the connections actively before it receives the responses.

Yes, I am using a VPN to access the Internet.

FYI, under the same evironment, ROO CODE accesses grok-code-fast-1 model normally, and kilocode accesses other models normally.

I moved to a new Internet environment so that I can use KILO-CODE without any proxy. It works fine most of the time. But just now, when I asked Sonoma-sky-alpha model to rewrite a passage (around 20K tokens), error came out as the following:

When I used a proxy to access the Internet, KILO would send tens of requests to the API endpoints through the proxy simultaneously. I guess maybe this is the cause of the 'closed pipe' thing.

I wonder why KILO did that.

It probably kept retrying a failed request.

This rate limit is probably shared between all Kilo users. You can create a personal OpenRouter account and see if that improves things.
