can not say much about mtk soc. need a log from feature detector to see whats going on. check wiki if you dont know how to take a log.

Create File in /data/misc/camera/camera_dbg.txt

where is "/data/..." ?

that stuff is only for qcom socs. was needed on kitkat or lollipop to get camera logs.
