Hello,

I was just wondering if there are any plans to release a version for 3D Max 2020?

Thirding. It's been quite a while since this was brought up with no response... Just wondering if there's plans or if it's been abandoned and to start looking elsewhere or whatnot.

This tool has been invaluable to me exporting a clean DAE file for import into SketchUp. Does anyone know who has developed the library in the past? Maybe our requests aren't being heard by the right group.

-bump- Agreed, that was my go-to solution for max to sketchup.. Also, not entirely sure why the plug-in needs to be so hard coded for a specific max version. There have been plenty of plugins that can work across several max versions. It would be great if the plugin in could be compiled so its a bit more version agnostic. Is that possible? Thanx

personally I gave up waiting for the update and using FluidImporterLite now which works even better than OpenCOLLADA and just $39

I released a few binaries on my fork: https://github.com/RemiArnaud/OpenCOLLADA/releases

Remi - I've been sitting on your post for the past few days with such excitement. Although, I'm not sure which of the files I'll need to cobble together a working install in Max2020, I'm anxious to kick it around once I find a lull in my workload. Thanks for offering up the link!

Sorry for the noob Q, but can you briefly explain why some ZIPs are labeled "static"?

UPDATE: I just copied the DLE over like prior versions, and it worked just great! You're a rockstar!

Now if a community like this could just get the source code for the frozen-in-time Max essential, Ivy Generator by Guruware, I'd be set!

harumscarum - I'll have to check out FluidImporterLite too. Thanks for that referral!

Did you read this?

https://github.com/RemiArnaud/OpenCOLLADA/releases/download/v1.6.70-max/INSTALL_WIN.txt

Static and debug are packaging options. you could see which one work best for you and let others know.

If you find a problem feel free to open an issue on the fork github https://github.com/RemiArnaud/OpenCOLLADA/issues
