can not log in as user

After manually installing theme I can not log in as user:

Authentication error: SDDM::Auth::ERROR_AUTHENTICATION "User not known to the underlying authentication module"

Logging in as root still works fine.

Linux 6.15.2-arch1-1 plasmashell 6.4.0. SDDM 0.21.0-6 PAM 1.7.1-1

Still no luck unfortunately. Apparently the issue lies with PAM:

[PAM] authenticate: User not known to the underlying authentication module

When I log in as root, PAM works fine (and this line is not present in journalctl)
