Lighthouse / tavern never getting timber / wine
Ask your question here. Hi, what could prevent these buildings from getting their trade goods / what are the requirements and how are the goods delivered to the buildings? I tried warehouse, timber yard, market stocking wine, all on the same block... removing all road blocks...... nothing seems to work. The buildings are separated from the rest of the city by a ship bridge with a couple roadblocks around it, could that be part of the problem?
Make sure your warehouses are set to actually deliver to them. I think you need to enable access for market ladies for it to work.
Yeah it's confusing, but I haven't got around to create a better system yet.
Setting the warehouse to "market trader access" indeed did the trick. Thank you! I thought I had to allow something on the roadblocks - never thought of the warehouse access settings... May I suggest to add "Our lighthouse keeper / tavern guy is out getting goods / is here waiting for orders" like it is with some other buildings? That would make it very clear to the player how these buildings fetch their supplies, anyway. Thanks for the awesome work, too! I've been playing this game since it came out. Finally we have roadblocks (what a relief). And the monument building from Pharaoh is a nice touch. I wish we could have floodplain farming also, but then the Romans probably didn't to that.
Yeah, no floodplain farming but we're considering separating the farms from the crop tiles, which would make things more interestng/dynamic
Ah, like in Emperor. I like the way farms work in Emperor. I also like "being more popular than dim sum". Which makes me think of garum, the Roman fish sauce. If you ever want to make fishing more interesting / profitable, garum could be a trade good. Would just need a workshop. Any chance of giving the gatehouse the same firewall rules as a palisade gate? It's neat to place e.g. work camps outside the walls and enable prefect/engineer access so they don't catch on fire.

That's a good idea that makes sense.
I've had this part as well yesterday. I had everything nearby, the warehouse was completely full as well as a granary, tried putting the food in another warehouse right beside them as well. I have the market ladies setup to be able to access all. Have it set to getting and still wasn't able to get them to work.
Can you post a screenshot that shows both the Lighthouse and the warehouse please?
