Localized (non-English) strings are rendered incorrectly

I am using sk_SK.utf8 locales on my system and pacmixer is giving me this:

  Vstavan 

instead of this:

  │Výstup
  │Reprod│
  │Slúcha
  └──────┘
  Vstavaný
