Shortcuts : the stop charging action displays an error when car is not charging
I am trying to automate my charging sessions and using a personal automation with Shortcuts to end the charge in the morning, using the actions provided by the app. Unless I'm mistaken, this action should work all the time, whether the car is currently charging or not, which is exactly what I want.
But I have this unknown error displayed by the Shortcuts app when the action is executed while the car is not charging. What's weird is that the action seems to still work fine, as you can see I have a notification from the app that seems to indicate everything is working fine. The unknown error is only displayed when the car is not currently charging.
Even if it works despite the error, it will be a problem if I want to expand the automation with more actions after the stop charging one.
I did not found a clear way to know if the car is currently charging or not, which might be a solution with an if action. If someone knows how to do it, let me know.
I have a shortcut that uses the "eject charge port" command, instead of "stop charging." This will not error out even if the car is disconnected or not charging. It just gets ignored. It has the same effect to stop the charger. BUT, it might not be possible to restart charging without touching the car, I don't know. I only use it when I'm leaving and when I'm already out and about. It also works with Superchargers.
